This acid resistant seamless stainless steel pipe is produced from 904L (1.4539) super austenitic stainless steel, a high-alloy material formulated to withstand strongly corrosive and acidic environments that overwhelm conventional 316 and 317 grades. With high nickel, chromium, and molybdenum content plus a deliberate copper addition, 904L offers outstanding resistance to sulfuric, phosphoric, and other reducing acids as well as chloride-induced pitting and crevice corrosion
